ICF Coaching Certification
The Masterful Coaching Diploma, Level 2 provides you with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practice of the ICF coaching competencies, standards and principles and its Code of Ethics. If you have ever wondered how you can become a certified professional coach, our program is the answer to start you on your journey to a new level of mastery of the coaching profession through training and practice aligned to ICF’s high standards.

The Role of the Coach
A An introduction to the theories and philosophies that have influenced coaching, and still do. Trainees learn what coaching is and its fundamentals, the roles of coach and client, including the difference between coaching and other professional approaches such as mentoring, consulting, training, therapy. Students also learn how professional coaching derives from a variety of different disciplines, while always respecting their own ethical standards. Trainees are invited to create their own definition of coaching and prepare a pitch for their presentation.

Students learn how each coaching theory and model can be applied in practice to coaching, and learn and practice about how it can be used to support learning and mastery of ICF coaching competencies.

Trainees learn and practice how to structure a coaching session and how to establish a Coaching Agreement, from Goal Setting to Desired Outcome, in a systemic perspective according to the ICF Standards.

How we approach Being versus Doing
How we listen to values, beliefs and purpose
Becoming really clear about values is the first step in letting go and moving toward purposeful purpose. Students learn how to approach clients’ Being and practice how to actively listen for values, beliefs and purpose in a coaching conversation.

The student learns to evoke awareness in order to support the client in making intentional choices. They learn and practice reframing and offering questions to clients to shift perspectives, using some coaching tools (thinking hats and duality-based concepts).

Students learn, explore and practice the coaching competency model until they acquire the sense and confidence to dance with the 8 coaching competencies and begin their journey as a coach. Students learn the ICF Ethics approach, including the SI Interpretive Statements, in order to become aware of what is required of the coach who chooses to align with the professionalism promoted by the International Coaching Federation.

Module 9
Practice with your peers
Students will take on the role of coach, the role of client and the role of observer giving and receiving feedback of others. This is the perfect space for you to practice, practice, practice and learn by doing and receiving feedback. The Students will be supervised by their mentor coach and they will receive the mentoring hours required by ICF.
Requirements to enter our Level 2 program
To enroll in the program you are required to submit your CV and have an interview with one of the EpiCoaching Academy trainers to explore your motivation and learn about all the specifics of the ICF certification requirements, including the ICF Code of Ethics.
